Senior Interactive Producer

This Senior Producer leads interactive creative, production, and strategy jobs and is responsible for defining and managing timeline, budget, and scope.

With support from senior team members, the Producer will also be in charge of many of our client relationships and is expected to maintain and grow those relationships by understanding their business, identifying their needs, and understanding thelab’s role in filling those needs.

You are/have:

  • Interactive Producer with at least five (5) years experience producing successful websites, apps, and online media campaigns from inception to completion

Creative Producer

We are looking for a highly motivated Creative Producer to join us at thelab. This client-facing role requires effective and professional communication between the client and agency team. This position has three primary roles, Account Management, Project Management, and Production.

The Account Management portion will include: maintaining status reports, scheduling and leading conference calls, presentation preparation, post-presentation follow-ups, etc. are just some of the daily, routine tasks. Project Management includes: using our project management system, creating and maintaining project schedules, OOP estimates, resource allocation, checking for quality control, tracking brand style updates across many projects, and keeping internal teams on-task to meet schedules. This producer should have knowledge for both digital and print production.

Digital Designer job requirements

The Digital Designer will report to the Creative Director and work with a team of designers, copywriters, developers, and producers on new and current business projects. We’re looking for a range of design and creative capabilities, which include:

  • Digital design experience: responsive sites, email marketing, and social campaigns make up the bulk of our work. We’ll look for you to easily plug into our day-to-day projects.
  • A love affair with design: we’re looking for someone who is just as obsessed as we are about beautiful typography, photography, and layout.
  • Conceptual thinking: at the end of the day, we are selling products, and look for great ideas to support great design
  • Presentation skills: Making something is only half the battle. You’ll be responsible for creating thoughtful decks to use, and will present your work directly to the client.
  • Grace after the 10th round: Some clients are easier than others, and our job (within reason) is to plug away until we get it right. A big part of this job is being okay with client feedback and revisions.

Mechanical Artist

We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Artist to join our production team. In this mid-senior role, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding a written or verbal brief, clarifying and discussing any issues–objective or subjective
  • Supporting the creative development process by developing layouts, composites and templates that are used to communicate a creative concept or specific execution
  • Preparing presentation materials as required for internal or client presentations (file prep, large format output, boarding/mounting, finishing)
  • Building accurate and precise magazine, newspaper, scaled outdoor, and collateral master mechanicals from a layout to supplied specifications, as well as loose, composed, and supplied proof documents
  • Adhering to client-supplied or internal style guidelines
  • Ensuring all mechanical and retouching proof slug data is accurate and all mechanical elements conform to the intended reproduction specifications (SWOP, SNAP or Gracol) including color space, Dmax, resolution, file type/size, and proper separation
  • Ensuring the correct color breaks (palettes) are in use and that the fonts in use are licensed according to the Font Policy of thelab or client
  • Performing alterations of presentation and production files as directed
  • Adhering to file and server management procedures for all supplied and working files including naming conventions, storage location, version control, and archive/restore management
  • Using workflow systems to successfully generate press-ready output files, routing prints, and certifiable retouching and contract/publication proofs
  • Participating in all published quality control measures and sign-off procedures for output, routing, proofing, and distribution
  • Distributing production files and materials electronically or via courier and provide confirmation as required
  • Calibrating color managed proofing devices as required by daily, weekly and monthly maintenance cycles
  • Recording accurately and in a timely manner all labor, materials, and required comments in job management/timesheet system

  • Addresses all agency and /or client cut changes throughout the approval process
  • Responsible for delivering the final product to the required specifications
  • Archives all footage at the wrap of each job
  • Maintains all edit equipment, trouble shoots problems, and actively facilitates repairs
  • Maintain proper file structure and approach allowing for future edits / adaptations
