We are a creative production agency, which consists of developers, designers, writers, animators, inventors, technologists, producers, retouchers, artists, photographers, musicians, and new-media strategists working collaboratively on projects as varied as we are. We solve creative problems as a multi-disciplinary collective, and our unified goal is to make work for which both we and our clients can be fiercely proud. We rely on discipline, experimentation, perspective, and a good attitude as the key ingredients to a great creative product.
We’re looking for a Designer/Animator to join our team in our NYC office. We are looking for a candidate that loves what they do, is excited about joining a growing team and most importantly is a pleasure to work with.
Thrilled to have you on the team, and excited to nurture and grow your skills. We all love what we do at thelab—we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, thoughtfulness, and flexibility. We’re inherently curious. We like to solve problems. We enjoy a good BBQ (veggie burgers too, y’all). We aim for work/life balance and keep a fairly reasonable schedule. Most of all, we’ll care about you, the work you do here, and the career we’ll help you grow.

You will represent the digital team for digital analytics with all internal teams, clients, and key stakeholders. As part of the digital team, you will have an opportunity to work on a large variety of projects for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including websites, e-commerce, mobile/tablet apps, and online media. You will work closely with various teams within the company from inception to completion to help establish project KPIs, as well as the analytics environments to track, report and optimize. This role requires knowledge of Google Tag Manager, as well as Google Analytics and other 3rd party analytics dashboards.
An awesome place for you to grow and learn. We stay open-minded about ideas and make sure our technology is always up-to-date, because we believe the best work gets made when we evolve our skills together. thelab is large enough to get an amazing variety of work, but small enough to stay flexible and work with smaller brands and startups too—we even have a few products of our own. You’ll work on a lot of different kinds of projects, and you’ll do it with reasonable timelines, surrounded by an inclusive community who wants to see you succeed. And you’ll generally finish your day with plenty of time left over to meet your friends for a drink—or grab one with your new team.
If you’re interested in working with us, but don’t see a job listing that matches your qualifications, we still want to hear from you. Our needs are ever-changing, and even if there’s not the right role right now, we’ll keep you on file for when the perfect spot opens up. Don’t be shy—let’s start the conversation.
P.S. We heart freelancers too!
